Is Soil Pulling Away From Your House Structure?

WHY THERE’S SOIL PULLING AWAY FROM MY HOUSE FOUNDATION?

Is Your Soil Pulling Away from Your House Foundation?

If you saw some of your soil pulling away from your house, you probably felt you should be concerned… Well, you should! And we’re here to explain.

Basically, it means the soil is drying out. The heat has caused the dryness and the soil to contract, and when this happens, the dirt pulls away from the structure of your house.

Unfortunately, in this case, we don’t recommend you taking care of it with your own hands.

There are a lot of blogs around the internet saying you could apply water to solve this problem, but it’s not a good idea AT ALL. First, you must know where and what distance you should apply it, how frequent you should be and most important, you are not sure if you have cracks on your slab, and if you do, applying water would cause leaks on your basement, making everything worse.

When you see soil pulling away from your foundation, you should call us, or any other trustable company, to inspect and see what is going on with your property. Sometimes it can be a small problem, but it can often compromise the entire foundation of your house.

We are from Millers Pro. Roofing & Siding offers FREE Inspections and Estimates. Our company attends to all Cape Cod & Martha’s Vineyard areas.
